Flex Feed Chute
In the late 1980’s the introduction of 5.56 X 45 mm ammunition belts using the M27 metallic link created the need for 5.56 Flexible Feed Chutes.
5.56mm belt feed weapons include:
- XM556 Microgun
- M249
- FN’s Mk46
- HK23
The feed chutes are optimized to feed the 5.56 ammunition with the M27 link. The connection features for the entrance and exit ends can be customized for your application.
Gun Adapter
The 5.56 belt feed weapons typically do not have features to connect a feed chute. SAI has designed a Ammunition Feed Adapter that securely connects to the weapon and provides attachment points for the flexible feed chute.
SAI currently offers Ammunition Feed Adapters for:
- M249
- FN’s Mk46
Adapters for other weapons can be designed as needed.
